Today, Speaker of the Assembly, Ms. Elisa Spiropali, visited the “Resurrection of Christ” Cathedral in Tirana, where she was warmly received by Archbishop Ioannis of Albania.
During the meeting, Ms. Spiropali extended her congratulations to Archbishop Ioannis for his leadership of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania and for his guidance of the Orthodox faithful.
Ms. Spiropali expressed, “The divine clarity and wisdom of His Beatitude Joan inspire us to strengthen the spiritual dimension in our daily work and duties as citizens, public servants, and politicians.”
The encounter highlighted the close relationship between the Albanian state and the Orthodox Church, emphasizing mutual respect and cooperation.
