Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama offered his condolences today following the passing of Archbishop Anastasios of Tirana, Durrës, and All Albania, who died at the age of 95.
“I wish him to rest in peace and extend my condolences to all his collaborators and the members of the Orthodox faithful community,” the Prime Minister stated, according to Protothema.gr.
It is noted that the body of the late Archbishop will lie in state at the Cathedral of Athens for public viewing until Monday morning, after which it will be transported to Albania for the funeral rites.
