AHEPA Omega Chapter 371 announced a $25,000 matching challenge grant to benefit Hellenic College Holy Cross (HCHC).
This took place at the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Detroit Clergy-Laity Congress which ended Saturday, September 25, 2021.
At the Conference, the Metropolis of Detroit committed a $25,000 grant to HCHC after hearing HCHC President George Cantonis speak about the progress and needs of HCHC, the Orthodox college and seminary.
Moved by the work of Cantonis, the progress made at HCHC and the generous support of the Metropolis of Detroit, the AHEPA Omega Chapter 371 announced a $25,000 matching challenge grant to Metropolis of Detroit parishes and faithful.
Omega will match contributions to HCHC made by October 31, 2021, to a grand total of $25,000.
“Our goal is to increase the amount supporting HCHC to over $75,000 coming from the generous faithful of the Metropolis of Detroit,” said John Hatzis, Omega Chapter President.
“All donations made by Metropolis of Detroit parishes, individuals, and AHEPA District #10 AHEPA and DOP Chapters will be matched to a grand total match of $25,000.”
