With the bells of the church of Saint Sava the Blessed ringing and chanting the great event of the Resurrection of the Lord, Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa presided over the Vespers of Love.
The Patriarch of Alexandria was accompanied by the Patriarchal Vicar of Alexandria, Metropolitan Narcissus of Naucratis, Bishop Theodoros of Babylon, and Germanos of Tamiathus.
The Hellenic Community of Alexandria was represented by the First Vice President of the Greek Community of Alexandria, Andreas Vafiadis, while the General Secretary, Dimitris Kavouras read the gospel in Catalan and in other languages by the Holy Clergy.
Also present were the President of the Hellenic Community of Port Said, Chrysoula Theocharous, and the Professor of Cairo University, Vasiliki Nikitopoulou.
The service ended at the Holy Patriarchal Monastery, with the hymn “Resurrection day” and “Christ is risen” and the wishes of the Patriarch of Alexandria to Greece, Egypt, and Egyptian Hellenism.
