With the blessing of Archbishop Makarios of Australia, the Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Wisdom of God in Adelaide celebrated the second anniversary of its establishment on Sunday, November 24. The occasion was marked by the celebration of a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy, presided over by Bishop Silouan of Adelaide.
Following the Divine Liturgy, the congregation gathered for a festive meal hosted by the parish’s Ecclesiastical Council and Philoptochos in the adjacent Archdiocesan reception hall. The event offered an opportunity for fellowship and gratitude as parishioners reflected on two years of spiritual growth and community service.
During the luncheon, a presentation was delivered by the Greek Welfare Centre “Saint Philothei” on the topic of organ donation from an Orthodox Christian perspective. The informative session aimed to raise awareness and provide guidance on this important issue within the context of faith.
Concluding the celebration, Bishop Silouan conveyed the love, blessings, and best wishes of Archbishop Makarios to all attendees. He also extended his heartfelt congratulations to the clergy, council members, and volunteers who work tirelessly and sacrificially to support the parish, glorifying God through their dedication.
