Patriarch John X of Antioch and All the East received Metropolitan Ignatius of Demetrias and Father Emmanuel Papamikroulis, envoys of Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece, and the Greek government, at the St John of Damascus Theological Institute in Balamand.
During the meeting, the Greek delegation expressed the solidarity of the Church of Greece and the Greek government, as well as their support for the Patriarchate of Antioch and All the East of the Greek Orthodox Church. For his part, the Patriarch expressed his appreciation to the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, the Greek government and the Greek people, underlining the deep historical ties that unite the Church of Antioch with Greece.
