On the afternoon of Wednesday, February 5, 2025, another youth gathering took place at the Museum of Helleno-Christian Heritage facilities, located in the Cathedral of Saint George in Stockholm. This group consists of newly baptized members and catechumens.
Before the commencement of the presentation, Metropolitan Cleopas of Sweden and All Scandinavia invited those present to offer a prayer for the victims and the injured of the deadly attack that occurred yesterday, Tuesday, in the city of Örebro, Sweden.
At the request of the young participants, the Metropolitan expounded on the topic “The Beatitudes,” addressing their theological significance and referencing a multitude of Church Fathers who have interpreted this passage from Christ’s Sermon on the Mount.
The presentation was followed by questions from the attending youth, leading to a constructive and enriching discussion.
This gathering, along with other initiatives and activities of the youth across various aspects of our local Church, continues—by the grace and blessing of our Lord—as an ongoing “Presentation,” that is, a welcoming of new members. It serves as a confirmation of the Church’s missionary work, which bears abundant and lasting spiritual fruit!
