With religious fervor, Alexandria will celebrate the great feast of the Epiphany, on the 6th of January.
The focus of the events will be the church of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary of the Greek Community of Alexandria, where Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa will perform the Divine Liturgy of the feast of the Epiphany, from 8.30 in the morning.
Immediately after, at 12 noon, the Prelate of Alexandria will perform the Blessing of the Waters of the Mediterranean with the Holy Cross from the pier of the Hellenic Naval Club of Alexandria.
As announced by the Hellenic Nautical Club of Greek-Egyptians, the cutting of the New Year’s pie will follow by President Lilika Thlivitou and all the parish authorities, which will be blessed by Patriarch Theodore.
At all events, all the COVID-19 prevention measures will be observed.
