Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria welcomed the 15 young people of the Diaspora from Greece, Cyprus, and Egypt, who visited the headquarters of the Patriarchate of Alexandria, as part of the 4th phase of the program “NOSTOS – Return to the Roots”.
“Welcome to cosmopolitan Alexandria,” the Patriarch told them, emphasizing that the Mediterranean city is surrounded by the sea, a great blessing for all three countries.
Referring to the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi Patriarch Theodore said that “the Egyptian leader dreams of moving his country forward. And in this effort, Greece and Cyprus stand by his side.”
In fact, in the presence of the Patriarchal Vicar of Alexandria, Metropolitan Narcissus of Nafkratis, and the Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Egypt, Konstantinos Christofidis, the Patriarch thanked the Deputy Governor of Alexandria, Jacqueline ‘Aiser, for her presence, while the representative of the Minister of Diaspora, Doa’ Andri, offered to Patriarch Theodore a souvenir of “NOSTOS” on behalf of Nabila Macram.
Finally, the Patriarch of Alexandria thanked all the young people who visited him today from the three countries.
