The Women’s Choir “Saint Kassiani the Hymnographer” of the Holy Metropolis of Neapolis and Stavroupolis arrived in Serbia, in the city of Niš, home of Constantine the Great, on Monday, June 17, 2019.
The Women’s Choir was invited to take part in the 6th International Choir Festival, which is organized by the Metropolis of Niš, coordinated by Sara Cincarević, conductor of the internationally renowned Serbian Singing Society Choir “Branko”.
19 choirs from 11 countries participated in the Festival: Serbia, Poland, Bulgaria, Mexico, California (USA), Italy, Russia, Belarus, Greece, Great Britain.
Metropolitan Arsenius of Niš, Serbian Church archpriests, the Mayor of the city and over 600 spectators were present at the International Festival.
On the morning of Tuesday, June 18, 2019, the Women’s Choir were given a tour to the Skull Tower and the Niš Fortress.
The artistic three-day visit ended with a beautiful pilgrimage in the city of Vranje, home of St. Justin Popovich, where Bishop Pahomije welcomed the ladies of the choir.
The Women’s Choir of the Metropolis returned on the evening of Wednesday, June 19, 2019.
