A 3.7-magnitude earthquake struck Mount Athos at 11:30 am.
According to the Geophysics Laboratory at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the earthquake’s epicentre was located 15 kilometres northwest of Karyes. It was also reported that the earthquake was shallow.
Seismologists estimate that this activity is similar to that recorded on the Athos Peninsula in recent months, and the area continues to be monitored by scientists.
