On June 1, 2025, the Orthodox Church of Albania commemorated the 11th anniversary of the consecration of the Cathedral of the Resurrection in Tirana, a landmark event that originally took place on June 1, 2014—twenty-two years after the election of the late Archbishop Anastasios of blessed memory.
The anniversary was marked with a festive Divine Liturgy presided over by His Beatitude Archbishop Ioannis of Albania. Concelebrating were Metropolitans Nicholas of Apollonia and Fier, Anthony of Elbasan, Astios of Berat, and Nathaniel of Amantia, along with Bishop Anastasios of Kruja.
During the Divine Liturgy, Archbishop Ioannis elevated Fr. Ignat Todri to the rank of Archimandrite and ordained Fr. Johan Korovesh as Archdeacon, in recognition of their dedicated service to the Church.
Following the service, members of the Holy Synod of the Orthodox Church of Albania gathered with reverence and deep emotion to offer a memorial service (Trisagion) at the grave of the late Archbishop Anastasios, located within the grounds of the cathedral complex.
