An envelope aimed at Pope Francis containing three bullets was found near Milan, according to Italian media reports.
The envelope had French postage and there was no reference to the sender.
Regarding the recipient, it stated the following: “The Pope – Vatican City, Piazza S. Pietro in Rome”, according to the newspaper Affaritaliani.
According to sources, the police have confiscated the mail at a sorting center in Peschiera Borromeo, on the outskirts of Milan, following reports from its manager.
